The Kosciusko Whippets and Lady Whippets hosted both Choctaw County and Noxubee County last week with neither team able to pick up a win. The Whippets fell to 10-10 overall while the Lady Whippets dropped to 3-17.
In last Tuesday night’s 58-52 loss to Choctaw County Ocorya Forrest led the Whippets with 12 points and two steals while Calvin Banks scored 12 points while pulling down four rebounds. Antonio Harmon rounded out the leader board with nine points and seven rebounds.
In the Lady Whippets’ loss to the Lady Chargers, Kenyatta Allen led Kosy with eight points and seven rebounds while Mahogany Perteet scored seven points with three assists and two steals. Samia Riley rounded out the leaders with six points and three steals.
In Friday night’s 62-50 loss to Noxubee County, Banks led the Whippets with 14 points, five rebounds and two steals. Terry Skinner scored 12 points with four rebounds and two assists while Harmon scored nine from the floor.
In the Lady Whippets 61-38 loss to the Lady Tigers from Noxubee County the leaders were Katie Mitchell with eight points and two steals; Ameria Riley with eight points and four rebounds and Arial Fancher with seven points and two rebounds.
Kosciusko hosted Leake Central on Tuesday night and will travel to Eupora on Friday night for a 6 p.m. contest. The Whippets will then hit the road once again on Saturday when the travel to Gluckstadt to take on Germantown at 6 p.m.
