The Kosciusko Lady Whippet slowpitch team moved to 3-0 on the year with wins over Nanih Waiya 10-9 on Tuesday and Starkville 7-3 on Thursday. Lakelynn Fancher got the win in both contests moving her record to 3-0 as well.
In the Tuesday night contest at Nanih Waiya the offensive leaders for the Lady Whippets were Kelly Hood with three runs scored; Gabbie Kelley with a single, two doubles and one run scored; Joie Johnson with a double and one run scored; Laken Milner with a single and one run scored; Fancher with a double, single and one run scored; AnnaLeigh Jones with a single; Melissa Gowan with a single and two runs scored and Sarah Caroline Henderson with one run scored.
On Thursday night the Lady Whippets hosted the Starkville Lady Jackets and came away with the win to move to 3-0 on the year. The offensive leaders for the Lady Whippets were Sania Riley with two runs scored; Hood with a single and one run scored; Kelley with two singles; Milner with a single; Fancher with a single and one run scored; Ameria Riley with two singles and one run scored; Henderson with two singles and one run scored and Gowan with a single.
The Lady Whippets host Nanih Waiya on Thursday night at 5 p.m. for a doubleheader and will then host Noxapater on Saturday at 11 a.m. for a doubleheader as well before hitting the road to take on Winona at 5 p.m. next Tuesday night.
