The Kosciusko Whippets (1-2) are looking to even up their record this Friday night when they hit the road for the first time this year to take on the Forest Bearcats (2-2) at 7 p.m.
The Bearcats are coming off a 31-26 win over Northeast Lauderdale last Friday night and look to make it two in a row over Kosciusko. The Whippets dropped the 2015 matchup with the Bearcats by a score of 25-14 after a turnover plagued contest where Kosy turned the ball over six times, including three consecutive fumbles on three second half Forest kickoff attempts.
“They are big and they want to run the football,” said Kosciusko head coach Chad Peterson. “They are very well coached and will try to press you in the kicking game. Forest brings several things to the table and they’re good in the kicking game, so we will have to be ready for that. It will be a big game for them as well as us and it ought to be a good night.”
