Holmes CC has all the momentum going their way.
After starting the season 2-0 the Bulldogs will face their next test against a winless Mississippi Delta Trojans squad. The Trojans fell to No. 13 Jones County 52-3, while the Bulldogs toppled Southwest MS 34-20.
The high-flying Bulldog offense has lite up the scoreboard through the first two games, averaging 506.5 yards per game.
Sophomore quarterback Dejerric Bryant has thrown for 546 yards with seven touchdowns and no interceptions. His main target has been D.J. Montgomery, who has caught nine passes for 349 yards with five touchdowns. Cameryn Brent, Antavius Moody and Matt Fuller have led the backfield, each averaging over 50 yards per game.
The Trojans have had a lot of trouble on the offensive side of the ball with only seven first downs against Jones County last week.
