The French Camp Panther football team looks to get on the winning track this week after dropping its first two but the task will not be easy with the Winona Tigers (1-1) coming to town for a 7 p.m. contest. The Tigers are coming off a 28-14 loss to Choctaw County last week and are looking to get back on the winning track themselves.
The Tigers average 95 yards per game through the air and are led by Jatyler Moore who is 21-of-35 through the air for 190 yards on the season with four touchdowns and two interceptions. Jayarious Lofton leads all receivers with 12 receptions for 135 yards and three touchdowns while Chris Olton has five catches for 129 yards and one touchdown.
On the ground the Tigers average 127 yards per game and are led by running back D.J. Ringo who has rushed the ball 21 times for 130 yards and one touchdown.
On defense the Tigers have one sack on the year and are led by Kaleb Hicks with 14 total tackles and Garrett Ables with 13 stops as well.
The Panthers are led by quarterback Colin Perry who is 8-of-12 through the air for 174 yards and two touchdowns on the year. The leading French Camp leading rushers are Kendall Coleman with 12 carries for 27 yards and Holman Edwards with eight carries for 25 yards.
Clayton Leathers leads all Panthers on defense with 15 tackles and one TFL and Skylyr Effler is second on the team with 14 stops.
