Kosciusko High School baseball and softball teams have given fans plenty to cheer about in the last few weeks.
This weekend, Whippet football fans will also be able to get a peek at what might be in store in the fall. Kosy will wrap up its 2018 spring football workouts Saturday, when the Whippets travel to Charleston to take part in a spring jamboree.
The Whippets will face both host Charleston and Lake Cormorant in approximately two quarters of play each, with action slated to begin at 2 p.m.
Kosciusko is coming off a 3-9 season which saw the Whippets finish strong.
After an 0-6 start, Kosy split its final six contests and finished third in a brutal Region 4-4A race which included 4A state champion Noxubee County and North State runner-up Louisville.
The Whippets lost a 17-14 heartbreaker to Itawamba AHS in the Class 4A state playoffs.
The leading ground gainer and two of the top three receivers from the 2018 squad are expected to return.
