Kosciusko entered the bottom of the sixth inning last Monday trailing Leake Central by two runs.
Matthew Allen smacked a three-run double to score Justin Nunn, Lucas Price and Micah Parker and give the Whippets a 4-3 lead.
Allen, Eldarius Roby and Chase Morgan followed with runs via Leake Central fielding errors to send Kosciusko into the final inning with a four-run lead.
Heath McBride closed out the seventh to earn the win, as Kosciusko grabbed a 7-3 victory.
Allen went 1 of 1 with a team-high three RBIs. Parker led the team with three walks.
Roby and Nunn each went 2 of 4 at the plate. Roby added two stolen bases while Morgan tallied one swiped bag.
Parker blasted a home run and accumulated a team-high three RBIs last Thursday against Starkville, but the slugger's efforts were not enough as the Yellow Jackets defeated the Whippets 9-6.
Starkville led 3-0 in the second inning before Walker Hill stole home in the bottom of the frame to make the score 3-1.
The Yellow Jackets posted two more runs in the top of the third, and Kosciusko received a run in the inning when Parker hit a solo home run.
Starkville extended its advantage to 8-2 in the fourth, but the Kosciusko offense exploded for a four-run sixth.
Morgan scored on a wild pitch and Allen was hit by a pitch to score Nunn. Parker hit a two-RBI single to plate Jon Deason and McBride to cut Starkville's lead to 8-6.
The Yellow Jackets added an RBI single in the top of the seventh for their final run.
Morgan was 3 of 4, and Parker was 2 of 3.
Kosciusko picked up its second win of the week against Leake Central on Friday with an 8-1 victory.
Parker added his second home run in as many days, and he finished with team-highs in hits (three) and RBIs (three). Nunn tallied two hits in three at-bats to go with two stolen bases.
Nolen Yuille threw six innings of 10-strikeout, one-hit ball en route to receiving the win on the mound. McBride came in as relief and struck out three batters and allowed one hit.
Parker homered as Kosciusko's lead-off batter in the top of the first. Roby singled in Brandon Black and Evan Scott hit a sacrifice fly to score Roby to send the Whippets into the bottom of the frame with a 3-0 lead.
Parker doubled in Will Cook in the top of the second, and Cook plated Lucas Price in the top of the fourth.
Deason ripped a triple to score Scott, Cook plated Deason with a triple and Parker scored Cook with a sacrifice fly in the top of the sixth.
The Whippets closed out the week at 3-1 with an 8-3 win against Choctaw Central on Saturday.
Kosciusko jumped ahead 2-0 in the top of the first after Black scored on a wild pitch and Hill scored on a passed ball.
Choctaw Central knotted the scored at two in the bottom of the second and moved ahead 3-2 in the third.
In the top of the sixth, Tyler Vancise knocked an RBI single to score Allen, and Morgan scored on a passed ball to give the Whippets a 4-3 lead.
Black tallied an RBI double to plate Cook in the top of the seventh, and Parker scored on a passed ball. Morgan added a fielder's choice RBI that scored Black and Morgan then scored on a wild pitch.
Black was 2-for-4 at the plate with a team-high two runs.
Parker went 2.2 innings to receive the pitching win. He struck out four and allowed three hits.
Kosciusko will host Morton and Pearl on Friday, and the Whippets travel to Calhoun City on Saturday.
