Kosciusko Kosy Krushers undefeated run through the Mississippi Amateur Softball Association state tournament culminated in a state championship this weekend.
The 8-and-under Krushers encountered more resistance in the state-wide tournament than they did in north-division play, but the result was the same.
Kosciusko’s dominance was on display in its opening game 9-0 defeat of the Harrison-Hancock County All-Stars. Game two, against Wayne County’s team was tighter, 12-9, but the Krusher’s were victories once again. In the championship game, the Krushers faced the Harrison-Hancock County squad and won again, 9-3.
Rayne Killingworth and Kalacia Miller both hit home runs in Kosciusko’s game two win.
