The Holmes Community College Bulldogs are going bowling.
The Bulldogs received a bid to play in The Graphic Edge Bowl feature game. The game will be held on the campus of the University of Northern Iowa in Cedar Falls, Iowa, at the UNI Dome on Dec. 4.
No. 9 Holmes CC (6-3) will clash with Iowa Western (6-5) after finishing in third place in the northern division of the MACJC.
Throughout the regular season the Bulldogs were led by first-team MACJC receiver D.J. Montgomery and linebacker Jamar Smith. Montgomery finished the season with 29 receptions for 786 yards and eight touchdowns, while Smith led the defense with 82 total tackles and two fumble recoveries.
Holmes coach Jeff Koonz was also named the MACJC Coach of the Year.
Iowa Western was the winner of the three-team ICCAC with a 2-0 conference record and won their last three games.
