Ethel volleyball opens season with a 3-0 road sweep

On the road at Kosciusko, the Ethel volleyball team opened its season with a dominant 3–0 sweep. “We will absolutely take a win,” head coach Jennifer Black said of the performance. The victory puts the Lady Tigers at 1–0 to start the season.

Experience leading the way for Ethel’s defensive front

Ethel head football coach Junior Graham said the defensive line’s biggest strength this season will be the experience the group has gained over the past year.
Most of the players on the line were underclassmen and after a year of learning the hard way, the boys have gotten much stronger according to Graham.

The summer has officially wrapped up for Ethel Volleyball, and a new season is underway. The Lady Tigers open their 2026 campaign on July 31 with a road matchup at Kosciusko. Head coach Jennifer Black kept her team busy throughout the summer, hoping the extra work will pay off as the year begins. “We are ready to get started,” Black said.
