The Ethel High School and Kosciusko High School slow-pitch softball teams met in a 4-inning warm-up on Saturday in Winona, with the Tigers winning 3-2.

The Kosciusko Junior High Girls amassed 161 points to win the North Central Mississippi Conference track meet held on April 2 in Winona.
KJH earned the only 24 points awarded in the girls’ pole vault to finish 27 points ahead of second place Charleston.
The MS Color Walk 2019 in Kosciusko was able to donate $800 to the MS Foundation to assist in finding a cure and helping those affected by MS.
Another week resulted in another trio of wins for the surging Lady Whippets. It also improved them to 18-0 overall and 4-0 in Region 4-4A games.
Kosciusko swept the week with wins of 16-0 and 10-0 over New Hope and a 3-2 victory against Choctaw Central.
The Ethel softball team split three of six games last week. The Lady Tigers (6-7, 3-0 Region 5-1A) travel to Noxapater on Monday in a region game, will host Nanih Waiya on Thursday in another region matchup and will travel to Smithville on Friday.
