McAdams Boys track team races to medal finish

By Laurence Hilliard Speed! The McAdams boys track team has it in abundance, resulting in a fourth place finish at the 1A state meet. The speediest of the speedy is sophomore Jamarques Spivey. He left the Woody Barnett Track at Pearl High School with gold medals in the 100 and 200 and silver as anchor in the 400 and 800 relays.

Central Holmes Lady Trojans shine with second place finish at MAIS Class 3A State Track Meet

Whippets' 4A Playoffs end despite strong efforts

By Laurence Hilliard Star-Herald The Kosciusko baseball season came to an end with 2-1 and 7-3 losses to Ripley in the third round of the 4A playoffs. “We had opportunities to win those games and we didn’t,” said coach Cole McBride. A very young Whippet team accomplished a lot, winning region 3-4A and two playoff rounds.

Ethel Tigers fall just short in round three
