Sonya “Michelle” Grantham, 54, of Hesterville, passed away Sept. 8, 2022, at the Attala County Nursing Center. Visitation was held from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 10, 2022, at Jordan Funeral Home. Funeral service was held at 3 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 10, 2022, at Jordan Funeral Home Chapel. Burial followed the service at New Salem Cemetery. The Rev. Jeremy Tillman and the Rev. Donald Self will officiate.
Michelle was born on April 20, 1968, in Kosciusko to Lavoy Grantham and Sara Cummins. She was a retired paralegal.
Michelle is survived by her father, Lavoy Grantham; daughter, Casey Dabbs; granddaughters, Marleigh Dabbs and Vera “Issie” Dabbs; sister, Amie Rawson (Mike); and nephew Clay Rawson.
Michelle was preceded in death by her mother, Sara Cummins; stepmother, Janie Grantham; grandparents, Grover and Vera Grantham, and Stanley and Pauline Cummins, and cousin Benny Mann.
Serving as pallbearers were Jimmy Mann, Jeremy Grantham, Branson Grantham, Mike Rawson, Clay Rawson and Tal Leach. Honorary pallbearers were Brandi Branch, Tori Thomas and Elisabeth Juneau.
Michelle will be missed by her loved ones, but we find comfort in knowing that she has been reunited with her Granny.
