The changing seasons

The late winter sun converted the cab of my black truck from a fridge to a furnace this past week when the temps inched north of 75 degrees. I flipped the AC on, rolled down the windows and headed out on a list of errands. Once on the road, I stuck my arm out the window and let the rushing wind lift my hand like a kite.

Decluttering can change your life

Mama's flowers

The sun peeped out for a few hours between rain clouds this week, and I took the opportunity to eat my lunch in the cobblestone courtyard at Bevill State Community College in Sumiton, Ala., where I work part-time. The sun felt warm on my face, but the wind out of the west would not let me forgetthat it was February.
