As we all run around buying gifts, decorating our homes and preparing celebratory meals this holiday season, it is easy to get lost in the hubbub of 
our own holiday experience.
We delight in joining together with family and friends, as well as our ability to bring joy to those we love by picking out the perfect gift and watching their faces light up as they open it.
All too often, though, the bright lights of the season blind us to the more difficult experiences of others. Some families right here in Attala County struggle to make ends meet and do not have the means to share a holiday meal with their families.
The Lion’s Club, which expects to put together nearly 300 Christmas food baskets for area families, is accepting monetary donations at Christmas Basket Project, Kosciusko Lions Club, P.O. Box 179, Kosciusko, MS, 39090. The group will also pick up any canned food items you wish to donate, or you can deliver donated items to the KAP office.
Please contribute a few dollars of your holiday budget to ensure that all our neighbors can at least enjoy a holiday meal together with their loved ones.
