To the Editor:
Please allow me to add one more tribute to the countless numbers written about the beautiful lady Nancy Seawright Green.
My dad’s family originated in the McAdams community of Attala County. I remember The Star-Herald all the way back to the Stokes Sanders days.
I doubt seriously that there is anyone left in Attala county who touched and impacted any more lives than Nancy. She was so kind and gracious, and was like a ray of sunshine to anyone and everyone who came in the doors of the newspaper office.
I remember her all the way back to 1958-61, when I played the organ at First Baptist Church, Kosciusko, during my student days at Mississippi College.
She loved her church and served her Lord faithfully and devotedly through it. She covered well any events and activities sponsored by the church.
I fell sure that she has heard the words, “Well done, thou good and faithful servant; Enter thou into the joy of the Lord.”
I surely look forward to seeing her, along with family and friends, when we gather around God’s throne at the rapture of the church. It could even be today.
With love and gratitude,
Rev. Horace Edwin Sudduth, Jr.
