Attala County is rich in history as is Kosciusko.
On the front burner is the need for Attala road names and not these antique road numbers. I made a recommendation to the Attala County Board of Supervisors to put Attala County back on the map with official road names. A recent recommendation I made to the Board is to give the roads in the county Native American names. Princess Attala would be very pleased with this, and yes it would be a major calling card for tourism in the county.
Sometime in the future we may have a Native American Museum in the city of Kosciusko. My hope would be to make our great train history a part of it too.
By doing this it would be a magnet for people to come to Attala County to experience the county's rich history to be enjoyed by her citizens and tourists alike. Lets do it!
