Libby is survived by her parents, Kimberly and Scott Altstatt; birth mother Randi Haner; her sister Donna; grandparents Papa Steve, MiMi, CiCi, Papa Altstatt, Shema, Papa Wayne, Nana, and Memaw; aunts Samantha and Michelle; uncles Stephen and Brandon and a host of extended relatives that forever adored her and friends that will never forget her.
Libby was born on March 26, 2018, to Scott Altstatt and Randi Haner. Libby attended Harvest Point Baptist Church. Her favorite parts about Sunday were picking out a dress, and listening to Mr. Mickey sing.
Our family blended when Libby was four years old, it became the greatest joy for Kimberly to raise her. Libby’s light shone so bright, especially for her family. Her favorite place was always right next to her sister and best friend, Donna. She was the joy in her mom’s heart and the light in her dad’s eyes. Libby loved life, and she made sure we did too.
Libby never met a stranger and would not hesitate to invite you to her birthday party. She was very active in her homeschool group and always knew that Mrs. Sonya had something great planned. The homeschool group were not just friends to her; they were her honorary siblings.
There was hardly ever a day that Libby did not rise with the sun. From the moment she woke up, Libby was going to be talking and searching for the good in every moment. Some of her favorite things were being outdoors, chocolate, mac and cheese, softball, singing, Pete the Cat, Mulan, Selena, and all God’s creatures. She was so loved, and she made sure everyone else felt the same way, including her horse, Bandit, and her chicken, Yellowy.
Our girl was light, and she was life. She brought it to everyone around her, and we would like to continue her legacy of light.
