James Nunn, 80, of Kosciusko Mississippi, a proud Vietnam veteran, devoted family man, and lifelong fisherman, passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones on June 18, 2025 at the Veterans Home.
His gentle strength, unwavering loyalty, and quiet wisdom left a lasting mark on all who knew him. He served his country with courage and honor during the Vietnam War and received a Purple Heart, he returned home to live a life defined by love — for his family, his faith, and the natural world. James was a man of few words, but his actions spoke volumes: always showing up, always giving more than he took, and always offering a steady hand and a soft heart.
Funeral services are 11:00 am Monday, June 23 2025 at Culpepper Funeral Home with burial to follow at Parkway Cemetery in Kosciusko. Visitation is from 9:30 am until 11: 00 am Monday at Culpepper Funeral Home.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Jan Nunn, sons Jimmy Nunn (Amber), Jonathan Nunn (Melissa), 6 Grandkids, Justin Nunn, Carter Nunn, Jacob Nunn, Baylee Nunn, Camren and Caitlin Veazy, sisters Margaret Burchfield, Janice Lively, Judy James, Martha Eastman, and his brother Billy Nunn.
James is proceeded in death by his parents, Vernon and Mozelle Nunn and his brother, Sammy Nunn.
He was a member of Parkway Baptist Church and he was a self employed oil & gas distributor.
