Carolyn Rone Biddle, 90, passed away August 27, 2025 at the Villa South Assisted Living Home in Florence, MS.
The visitation was held Saturday, August 30th from 9:00 am to 11:00 am with the funeral service at 11:00 am at Baldwin-Lee Funeral Home in Pearl, MS. The Reverand Beth Feisel officiated. Carolyn’s grandson Brian Grantham gave the eulogy. Interment followed at Tabernacle Methodist Church Cemetery near Ethel, MS.
Carolyn was born March 1, 1933 to Burris and Ola Ballard Rone in Ethel, MS. She was a member of Marvin United Methodist Church in Florence, Ms. Before moving to Florence Carolyn lived in Brandon, MS for 65 years where she was a very active member of Brandon United Methodist Church. She was a member of the Senior Sunday School Class, the United Methodist Women and was an active member of the Eastern Star.
Carolyn graduated from Ethel High School and then worked for Southern Bell Telephone Co several years. She retired from Rankin General Hospital after 25 years of service. She enjoyed reading, spending time with her grandchildren and her great grandchildren and traveling with her sisters all over the United States.
Carolyn is survived by her daughter Pamela (Roger) Grantham; two grandsons Kris (Stephanie) Grantham and Brian (Kim) Grantham; great grandchildren Eston Grantham, Addison Grantham and Aiden Grantham; step great grandchildren Reece Holcomb, Rhett Holcomb and April Hancock; sister Marie Tanner, brother Charles Rone and sister-in-law Ann Rone.
Carolyn was preceded in death by her husband Travis O. Biddle; parents Burris and Ola Rone; sisters Erlene Woodall, Edna Lanfair, Gladys Lancaster, Erma (Pup) McCarty and brother Douglas Rone.
Pallbearers were Darren Rone, Terry Miller, Jonathan Miller, Joey Tanner, Jeffery Rosamond and John Banks.
