Ann Collier Godfrey
Ann Godfrey, 87, passed away Friday September 12, 2025 at Baptist Medical Center in Jackson, MS.
Funeral services were 2:00 pm Monday, September 15, 2025, at McAdams Baptist Church in McAdams, Mississippi. Visitation was from 12 noon until service time. Burial followed at Coleman Cemetery.
Ann Collier Godfrey, born on July 1, 1938, in Chester, Mississippi, to her loving parents Ben and Georgie Collier.
Ann attended Ackerman High School and went on to make a significant impact in her community. She was honored as an Outstanding Citizen and dedicated many years of her life as an assistant teacher in the Special Education Department of the Attala County School District. Her passion for education and her commitment to helping others left a lasting legacy.
A devoted servant of God, Ann was actively involved in McAdams Baptist Church, where she held many roles and made meaningful contributions to her faith community. Her unwavering devotion inspired those around her and reflected her deep love for God.
Ann is survived by her devoted husband of 66 years, Noel Godfrey; sons Mark Godfrey (Kim) and Drew Godfrey (Manell); and daughter Connie Granger (Ed). She cherished her role as a grandmother to Marlana, Kolby, Noelle, Carlee Ann, Erin, Will, and Bryce, and she took great joy in her 16 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Hayes Collier, sister Brenda Wallace, and a beloved daughter, Carla. Now, she rejoices in heaven, reunited with Carla, tending to the gardens of heaven, a testament to her lifelong love of gardening.
Ann’s warmth and kindness touched the lives of many, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Memorials may be made to McAdams Baptist Church or Coleman Cemetery.
