Winford Alton “Bill” Tolleson, 95, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 9, 2018, at the Martha Jo Leslie State Veteran’s Home in Kosciusko.
Visitation will be 9 to 11 a.m. Wednesday, September 12, at Jordan Funeral Home in Kosciusko. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, September 12 ,in the Jordan Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in the Parkway Cemetery. Dr. Dick Hill and Rev. Junior Davis will officiate.
He was a veteran who loved his country and proudly served in WWII. He was an active member of Williamsville Baptist Church, where he served for many years as Sunday School Director and worked as a custodian. He retired from Superior Coach Corp.
Survivors include his son, Billy Tolleson (Johnnie); step-daughters, Linda McKay Hill (Dick) and Reba McKay Hodge; and a sister, Virginia Tolleson Sanders. In addition, he leaves behind eight grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death his parents, Titus Tolleson and Ada Crowe Tolleson; step-daughter, Patsy McKay Little Turner; granddaughter, Tracey Tolleson Hodges; brothers, Aaron Tolleson, Pate Tolleson, Lamar Tolleson, Hugh Tolleson; and sisters, Nell Tolleson Roberts and Lee Tolleson Odom.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to French Camp Academy.
