Vena Pearl Shelley Triplett, 93, of Thomastown, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 30, 2018, at Baptist-Leake Hospital in Carthage.
Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 1, at Jordan Funeral Home in Kosciusko. Funeral services are at 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 2, at Thomastown Baptist Church with burial to follow in the Thomastown Cemetery. Bro. Travis Watkins and Bro. Brian Hill will officiate. Pallbearers are Brian Turner, Jacob, Shelley, Ronnie Lockett, Joe Lovorn, Teddy Harkins, Buddy Thornton, Andy Shannon, and Greg Henley. Honorary pallbearers are Anthony Moore, Bob Scott, Bobby Hendry, Chris Ellington, Fred Watkins, George Windom and Ralph Burns.
She was a longtime member of Thomastown Baptist Church. She worked at I. A. Ferrell and Company, Arnold and Langdon General Merchandise and Langdon General Store.
Survivors include son, Randy (Lynn) Triplett of Thomastown; nieces, Vickie (Mike) Ellington, Karen (Jeff) Kirkpatrick, and Kate Holland; nephews, David (Donna) Shelley, and John (Wilma) Triplett; nieces, Bessie Thomas, Bobbie Jones, Willie Richardson, Dorothy Sanders, and Shirley Townsend; one great-niece, Lacy (Chad) Dodd; two great-nephews, Chris Ellington and Jacob (Rebecca) Shelley; one great-great-niece, Annika Dodd; and one great-great-nephew, Langdon Shelley.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert N. Triplett; parents, Cliff and Daisy Blailock Shelley; and brother, Thomas Shelley.
