Timothy Cary Wasson, 90, passed away on Friday, July 27, 2018, at the Martha Jo Leslie State Veterans Home in Kosciusko.
Visitation and funeral services were Saturday at Jordan Funeral Home in Kosciusko, with burial to follow in the Parkway Cemetery. Dr. Don Patterson officiated.
He was a member of the Kosciusko First United Methodist Church. He served in the Vietnam War serving in the United States Air Force for 21 years, where he was a part of the Titan Missile Program and received the Bronze Star for meritorious service during combat along with many other awards and medals. He retired from the military with the rank of Chief Master Sergeant. He worked for the City of Kosciusko as the city water inspector for many years.
Survivors include his wife, Tommie Wasson of Kosciusko; daughter, Debbie Wasson Dean of Madison; step-sons, Kenny Moore of Tomball, TX, Phillip Moore of Kosciusko, Bob Moore of Sallis, and Eddie Moore of Kosciusko; three grandchildren; eight step-grandchildren; seven step-great-grandchildren; sister, Opal Burleson of San Francisco, CA; host of cousins; and a host of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 43 years, Helen Shields Wasson; parents, Zachariah and Bessie Wade Wasson; and thirteen brothers and sisters.
Pallbearers Christopher Dean, Richard Dean, Justin Teasley, Cody Moore, Tommy Moore, and Phillip Moore.
