Memorial services for Stephen Anthony Mitchell, 43, of Longview, Texas, will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 22, 2017, in the Kosciusko First Baptist Church sanctuary. He passed away April 13, 2017, in Longview, Texas.
Rev. Barry Corbett will officiate.
Stephen was born Nov. 3, 1973 in Eupora to Hardy and Frances Mitchell. He was a dragline operator with Sabine Mining. Stephen loved his family and enjoyed cooking, hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed his motorcycle.
He is survived by his loving wife, Kim Mitchell; son, Parker Mitchell; daughters, Kaitlyn Mitchell, Chelsea Mitchell and Lauren Mitchell; parents, Hardy and Frances Mitchell of Kosciusko; sister, Melanie Rice and husband Jason of Madison; nephews, Brooks, Sam, Tucker and Coy Rice of Madison; paternal grandmother, Margie Mitchell of Kosciusko; mother and father-in-law, Martha and Wayne Agee of Hernando, Fla.; sister-in-law, Dena Love and husband Rich of Pearl; nephew, Chris Shafer; niece, Haley Shafer of Madison; great-nephew, Ashton Shafer; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his paternal great-grandparents, Fred and Maggie Parker; paternal grandfather, James Mitchell; maternal grandparemts, Mayfred and Curtis Webb.
