Sarah Pender Hardison, 99, of Kosciusko died April 15, 2018, at Hospice Ministries in Ridgeland, MS. Graveside Services will be at City Cemetery in Kosciusko on April 16, 2018, at 1 p.m.
She was born June 17, 1918, in Hesterville, MS, to Dr. Charles Allen Pender and Kate Bess Weeks Pender. She graduated from Kosciusko High School and attended the University of Mississippi and Soule Business College in New Orleans.
Mrs. Hardison was employed as a legal secretary during the time her husband served overseas during World War II. She was a devoted wife and mother to her family. She was a life-long faithful member of the First United Methodist Church in Kosciusko. She was an avid bridge player and a member of the D.A.R.
Mrs. Hardison was preceded in death by her husband, Robert C. Hardison, Sr.; her parents; five siblings, Dr. John W. Pender, Janie Lane, her twin sister, Mary Burr, twin brothers, Dr. Aaron Pender and Charles Allen Pender; and her son-in-law, David Sidney Herrin.
She is survived by her three children, Bob Hardison and wife, Carol, of Ridgeland, Mike Hardison, and wife, Emily of Winter Springs, Florida; and Sally Amelot and husband, Christian, of Ridgeland; three grandchildren, Gray Hardison of Austin, Texas, Dr. Aden Hardison of Castle Rock, Colorado, and Sydney McCullar and husband, Russell of Brandon; one great-grandchild, Anna Kate McCullar; as well as several nieces and nephews.
