Mrs. Sarah Elizabeth Myatt, 91, passed away on Wednesday, Sept. 25, at Neshoba General Hospital in Philadelphia.
Funeral services were Friday, Sept. 27, at Noxapater Baptist Church, with Rev. Mike Fondren officiating. Interment will be in Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Noxapater. Porter Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Myatt was born December 11, 1927, in Winston County, to Sarah Moore and James Edward Martin Sr. She was a graduate of Noxapater High School, and was a homemaker and a seamstress. She was a member
of Noxapater Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Clark Myatt; a daughter, Marcia Myatt; a brother, James E. Martin Jr., and a great-grandson, Joseph Clark Myatt.
She is survived by a daughter, Renee Myatt (Joe W.) Wood of Philadelphia; a son, Gene (Mickey) Myatt of Pensacola; two sisters, Mary Breazeale of Brandon, and Martha McBrayer of Charleston; two brothers, Bill Martin of Noxapater, and Wayne Martin of Gloster, Louisiana; four grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Jason Myatt, Todd Resavage, Dustin Cheatham, Kevin Kellum, Peter Hudson, Martin Breazele and Jimmy Martin.
Memorials may be made to Noxapater Baptist Church or French Camp Academy.
