Louis Paul Linton, 90, retired Methodist minister and member of the United Methodist Conference, passed away Tuesday, September 18, 2018, at Choctaw County Regional Medical Center in Ackerman, MS.
He was born October 3, 1927, in Lauderdale County, MS. Parents were Robert L. and Vera (Moore) Linton.
Funeral services for Rev. Linton were Friday, September 21, 2018, at Coleman Funeral Home in Ackerman, MS. Burial followed in Enon Cemetery.
Rev. Linton is survived by four daughters, Kathy Self(Ronnie) of McCool, MS, Diane Simpson of Ackerman, MS, Sylvia Pritchard (Wayne) of Mathiston, MS, and Jeanette Boyd(Lamar) of Starkville, MS; one son, Ronald Linton of the Mississippi Delta; 11 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and 11 great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert & Vera (Moore) Linton, three brothers, two sisters, one grandson, Shawn Stricklin; and one son-in-law, Ricky Simpson.
