Ralph McWhorter Rone, Jr., 69, passed away Tuesday, April 17, 2018 at the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
Visitation is from 12 to 2 p.m. Friday, April 20, 2018, at Jordan Funeral Home in Kosciusko. Funeral services are 2 p.m. Friday in the Jordan Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in the Tabernacle Cemetery. Rev. Ralph Hunt will officiate.
Mr. Rone was a deacon and member of Ethel Baptist Church. He was a rural mail carrier. He loved the outdoors, where he farmed and enjoyed quail hunting with his father. He was a graduate of Ethel High School, where he was a star football player, Holmes Junior College, where he played football, and MSU with a master’s degree in Industrial Technology.
Survivors include his parents, Ralph McWhorter Rone, Sr. and Allene White Rone; wife, Charlene England Rone; daughters, Ginger (Andy) Bain of Kosciusko, Jamie (Beau) Varner of Louisville, and Kellie (Matthew) Cauthen of Ackerman; grandchildren, Annaleigh Bain, Andrew Bain, Addison Varner, Owen Varner, Clark Cauthen, and Grant Cauthen.
