Morris May, 71, of McCool, went to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on January 11, 2017. Visitation is Saturday, January 7, from 10-11 a.m. at McCool Baptist Church. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. in the church with burial to follow in the McCool Cemetery.
Rev. Dick Hill will officiate.
He was a pipefitter welder for Bechtel. He was an active member of McCool Baptist Church serving as deacon and Sunday school teacher. He was a member of the McCool Masonic Lodge and the National Guard. He enjoyed and was an avid traveler.
Survivors include his daughters, Lorie (Glenn) Deason of McCool, Lilia (Douglas) Fisher of McCool, and Lydia May Scott of Craven County, N.C.; grandchildren, Lilia-Karis Deason, Lorie-Jane Fisher and Douglas J. Fisher, Jr.; brother, Charlie Hugh May of French Camp; sisters, Linda Dees of Canton and Melba Hunt of Texas; numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Carmelita Shurden May; brothers and sisters, O’Neal May, Mildred Myers, Wayne May, Coy May, and Dwight May; and parents, William Roland and Annie Mae Pilcher May.
Jordan Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
