Mavis Cook Shelton, 95, passed away Wednesday, April 18, 2018, at Atwood Personal Care in Kosciusko.
Visitation is from 3 to 4 p.m. Saturday, April 21, at the Kosciusko First Presbyterian Church. Funeral services are at 4 p.m. Saturday at the church with burial in the Parkway Cemetery. Rev. Phillip Palmertree will officiate.
She was a member of the Kosciusko First Presbyterian Church and a beloved wife, mother, and grandmother.
Survivors include her son, Winfred (Totsy) Shelton, Jr. of Kosciusko; daughters, Patricia (Tom) Barrentine of Cherry Log, GA and Sandra (Ken) Fowler of Kosciusko; grandchildren, Scott Pickle, Natalie Kaigler, Brian Barrentine, Patrice Barrentine, Michele Tubbs, Robin Willis, Nicholas Shelton, Jon Oliver, and Caroline Shelton; and fifteen great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Winfred Shelton, Sr.; daughter, Carol Jean LeVert; parents, Amos Marcus Cook and Lena Perle Armstrong Cook; brother, Rosamond Cook; and sisters, Sybil Holt and Elizabeth Edwards.
