Marvin Ray Self, 77, of West, passed away Nov. 25, 2016, in Jackson.
Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 27, at Culpepper Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Oak Grove Cemetery. Visitation began at 12 noon. Rev. Donald Self officiated.
Mr. Self was a member of Oak Grove Advent Christian Church. He was self-employed in the construction business.
He is preceded in death by parents, Beely and Willie Hearon Self; daughters, Nancy, Donna Sue, Susan Lee, Rosa; brother, Ralph; sisters, Jaudell, Wauwice.
He is survived by his wife, Sheila Self; daughter, Patty Tanner; sons, Dennis Self, David (Michelle) Self, Donald (Barbara) Self; step-children, Sondra and Tommy; brother, Thomas Coy Self; 19 grandchildren; 17 great- grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Scott Jolly, Jason Armstrong, Justin Self, Chad Pegram, Caleb Self, Joey Tanner, Aubrey Self and Michael Palmertree.Honorary pallbearers were great-grandsons.
