Mrs. Margie Parker Mitchell, 82, of Kosciusko, died Monday, December 25, 2017, at the Attala County Nursing Center. Visitation is 5-8 p.m. Wednesday, December 27, at Jordan Funeral Home. Funeral services are at 11 a.m. Thursday, December 28 at the Jordan Funeral Home Chapel, with burial to follow in Parkway Cemetery. Rev. Barry Corbett and Rev. Dennis Arnold will officiate.
Mrs. Mitchell was born April 14, 1935, in Columbus to Fred Lee and Maggie Lavinia Strickland Parker. She was a factory worker, a member of Williamsville Assembly of God, and attended Crestview Methodist Church. She enjoyed her family and love being around them.
Those surviving her are two sons, Hardy (Frances) Mitchell, of Kosciusko, and Glenn (Becky) Mitchell, of Eupora; four daughters, Debbie Jaudon, of Starkville, Diane McAdams, and fiancé, Ricky Turner, of Kosciusko, Teresa (Les) Clark, of Kosciusko, and Lisa (Cotten) Ellington, of Thomastown; 27 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren, and a host of cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, James Harrell Mitchell; and a grandson, Stephen Mitchell.
Pallbearers are Jeffery Chapman, Brent Jaudon, Mitchell Lee, Greg McAdams, Matt McAdams, and Parker Mitchell.
