Mamie Rebecca Carpenter Pearson, 80, passed away Friday, Sept. 14, 2018, at her residence in Leake County.
She was a retired Leake County Circuit Clerk after 20 years of service, and a former Leake County Justice Court Judge for 12 years. She was also a member of Wake Forest United Pentecostal Church.
Funeral services were Monday, Sept. 17, at Jordan Funeral Home Chapel in Kosciusko, following with burial in Wake Forest Cemetery in Thomastown with Rev. Greg Fortenberry officiating.
Survivors include her son, Jerry Pearson and his wife, Linda; grandson, Justin and wife, Brandi Pearson; great-granddaughter, Harley Rebekah Pearson; sister, Kathy and her husband, Johnny Hall; brothers, Dan Carpenter and his wife, Siggi, Earl Carpenter and his wife, Brenda, Chester Carpenter and his wife, Linda; a number of nephews and nieces.
Preceded in death by her husband, Frank Harlis Pearson; parents, Wilson and Mildred Allen Carpenter; a sister, Barbara Harmon; and a brother, Wayne Carpenter.
Pallbearers were Wade Carpenter, Brian Carpenter, Jason Carpenter, Randy Triplett, Michael Ellington and David Shelley. Honorary pallbearers will be Paul Merchant, Jr., Butch Pinkard, John H. Munn, and David Adcock.
Memorials may be made to the Wake Forest Pentecostal Church building fund or Cemetery fund.
