Leonard Horne, 93, of Kosciusko, died Saturday, Dec. 10, 2016, at the Martha Jo Leslie State Veterans Home in Kosciusko. Services were held Monday, Dec. 12, at 2 p.m. at Parkway Baptist Church.
Rev. Don Cook and Rev. Derrick Wilson officiated.
Mr. Horne served in the United States Navy during WWII. He was a retired electrician from Superior Coach, and a member of Parkway Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Nell Price Horne; parents, Belton Dewey Horne and Sarah Katherine Alderman Horne; son, Leonard L. “Mickey” Horne, Jr.; Paul Anthony Horne, brother, Pete Horne; and sister Bobbie Dendy.
Survivors include daughters, Marion (Harry) Horne Jacobs of Hattiesburg, Betty (Jimmy) Smith of Kosciusko; brothers, Van Horne of Kosciusko, Jimmy Horne of Milton, Fla; sisters, Maudie Smith and Verla Eiler of Kosciusko; four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the Parkway Baptist Church.
Jordan Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
