Mr. John E. Ellard, 91, of the Singleton Community, passed away February 12, 2017, at his residence.,
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, February 16, at the First United Pentecostal Church with burial to follow at Pleasant Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5 – 9 p.m. Wednesday and after 12 noon Thursday at the church. Culpepper Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Ellard was a member of the First United Pentecostal Church. He was an Army veteran. He was a retired metal finisher at Sheller Globe and Superior Coach.
He was preceded in death by parents, Walter and Bessie Rule Ellard; son, John “Bubba” Jr.; daughters, Diane, Sandra; grandchild, Jason; foster grandchildren, Becky, Tammy.
He is survived by wife, Emma Lee Ellard; daughters, Debbie (Virgil) Wilds, Shelia (William) Ryals, Renee (Johnny) Ray; foster children, Betty Simmers, Hazel Spence, Carlene Hughes; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild.
