John Dees, 82, of Vaiden, passed away Dec. 14, 2016. at his residence.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 17, at Hebron Baptist Church. Burial was in Hebron Cemetery.
Visitation began at 10 a.m. prior to services. Culpepper Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Dees was a member of Hebron Baptist Church. He was retired from the logging and timber business.
He was preceded in death by parents, Zebbie and Mary Lou Dees; wife, Mildred Dees; son, Rusty Dees; grandchildren, Josh, Kaitlin; sister, Nellie; brothers, Leo, Maurice, Robert.
He is survived by sons, Randy Dees, Ricky (Iva) Dees, Ronny (Cathy) Dees; daughter-in-law, Janice Dees; brothers, Leroy Dees, Zebbie Dees, Jr.; sisters, Earline Bingham Phillips, Wilma Bingham; seven grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Ethan Dees, Mitchell Dees, Christopher Ivancic, Ryan Wood, Russell Rumbley, Ed Granger, Dean Matharan; Honorary pallbearer was Kenneth Gibson.
