Mr. Jimmy Ray “Jay” Joyner, 70, of Kosciusko, passed away March 22, 2018, in Jackson.
Funeral Mass will be held at 3:30 p.m. Saturday, March 24, at St. Therese’s Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Parkway Cemetery. Visitation will be 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday at Culpepper Funeral Home. Father Odel Medina will officiate services.
Mr. Joyner was a Senior Chief in the United States Navy, he retired in 1989. He also was the former owner of the downtown BP station.
He is preceded in death by his father, William Joyner; mother, Aleen Joyner Cullen.
He is survived by his wife, Lou Joyner; son, Bill (Colleen) Joyner; daughters, Kellie (Eric) Pickett; Patty (Erik) Frazure, LeaAnn (Richie) Armstrong; sister, Judy (Gene) Gober; 14 grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Eli Frazure, Ezra Frazure, Zeke Frazure, Erik Frazure, Richie Armstrong and Jay Moore.
Honorary pallbearers are Bobby Rawson, Jerry Blaine, Terry Culpepper, Curt Tharpe, Billy Sutherland, Richie Tharpe, Fred Watkins, Eric Pickett and Lucas Joyner.
