Hugh Leland Moody, 86, of Kosciusko, also known as Moody A.C., died Friday, March 3, 2017, at Merit Health Rankin in Brandon.
Services were held at 4 p.m. Sunday, March 5, at Jordan Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Parkway Cemetery with Rev. Donald Self officiating. Visitation was 5-8 p.m. Saturday, March 4, and Sunday, March 5, from 3-4 p.m.
Mr. Moody was a retired Allied Enterprise Instructor and Owner/Operator of Moody A.C. Repair Service and member of Kosciusko Second Baptist Church.
He is survived by two sons, Tommy Moody and his wife, Faye of Kosciusko, Larry Moody and his wife, Christie of McCool; grandchildren, Thomas Moody II, Debra Moody Warren, Zach Moody, Courtney Moody Jernigan, and Katie Moody; great-grandchildren, Madison, Tristan and Mackenzie; sisters, Dorothy Ann Deruiter of Signal Mountain, Tenn., and Helen Dennis of Lawrence; numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn Moody; twin brother, James Orland Moody; sisters, Ruth Sallis and Frances Vinz; and his parents, Emory Orland and Mabel Ruth Murdock Moody.
Pallbearers were Ed Duncan, Thomas Moody II, Jason Warren, Zach Moody, Rodger Clark, Philip Jernigan.
Honorary pallbearers were his nephews and Jimmy Kellum, Joe Mix, Rev. Donald Self, Cliff Townsend and Dale Hathcock.
