Funeral services for Gerald Wayne Richardson were held at Saturday, July 7, 2018, at John E. Stephens Chapel with Rev. Durant Palmertree and Rev. Bobby Palmertree officiating. Interment in Good Hope Cemetery with military honors followed.
Mr. Richardson, 70, passed away Wednesday, July 4, 2018, at University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson. He lived in Neshoba and Attala counties most of his life. He was a U.S. Army Veteran and truck driver. His hobbies included fishing and selling watermelons. Mr. Richardson was a member of Good Hope Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Thurman D. Richardson and Margie Johnson; stepfather Carvell Johnson; sister, Lisa Richardson Eaves; stepsister, Odessa Collins; stepbrothers, Jimmy and Dale Johnson.
He is survived by his wife, Glenda Richardson of Kosciusko; stepdaughters, Michelle Corr and Sherry Ballard, both of Kosciusko; son, Curtis Richardson of Kosciusko; stepsons, Thomas Ellingburg of Tenn., J.D. Hester of Yazoo City and Jerry Hester of Olive Branch; brother, Ron Richardson of Brandon; stepbrother, William D. Johnson of Philadelphia; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were Caleb Richardson, Justin Richardson, Josh Corr, Joey Hester, Luis Montgomery, Eddie Olmedo.
