Florence Bernice McCreary passed away on Tuesday, March 14, 2017, at Hospice Ministries in Jackson. She was one of nine children of Bernice and Lee Marshall of south Georgia (both deceased).
Mrs. McCreary is survived by her husband, Herbert McCreary of West; daughter Elizabeth Bonner of Cumming, Ga.; son, Herbert Rogers of south Georgia and son, Lee Rogers of Sanford, Fla. Her surviving siblings are Edward Marshall of Crystal Springs; Jean McCreary of Brandon and James Marshall of Como, N.C. She was also blessed to have eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren and a host of very dear nieces and nephews. She was lovingly known as Aunt Florence or Grandma.
A memorial service was held at Southern Funeral Home in Durant, on Saturday March 18, and Mrs. McCreary was buried at Mt Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery in West. A luncheon was hosted by the Church Community following the graveside service.
The family extends great appreciation to everyone for their heartfelt prayers during the last weeks.
