Eugene Brock Hill Jr. was born August 12, 1938, in Dockery, to Eugene B. Hill, Sr. and Audrey Rabb Hill.
He served four years in the U.S. Air Force from 1957 to 1961 and in the Army National Guard until 1974. He retired from the MS Employment Service after 26 years. He was an active member and past commander of the Disabled American Veterans, Chapter 37.
He was a member of the Thomastown Christian Church, where he served as an elder.
He loved his children, grandchildren, and pets. He was very passionate about his song writing and music (Kosciusko Hometown Music). He also enjoyed writing letters and articles. He loved his town, state, and country and was an avid ham radio operator for over 60 years.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Marion C. Hill and parents.
Those surviving him are children, Eugene “Brock” (Christie) Hill, III, of Brandon, and Elizabeth Hill (Todd) Yuille, of Kosciusko; three grandchildren, Walker Yuille, Nolen Yuille, and Avery Hill; one brother, Kirk R. (Rita) Hill, of Mendenhall.
Pallbearers are Walker Yuille, Nolen Yuille, Robert Autry, Sammy Smith, Bill Lacey, and Danny Townsend.
Honorary Pallbearers are the members of the Chapter 37 of the Attala County DAV.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Thursday, July 13. Funeral services will follow at 1 p.m. in the Jordan Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Parkway Cemetery. Rev. Ray Bardin will officiate.
