Emmett Marvin Skeen, 92, passed away on Friday, Sept. 14, 2018, at Baptist-Attala in Kosciusko.
Visitation and funeral services were Sunday in the Jordan Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in Parkway Cemetery. Rev. Junior Davis officiated.
He served in the United States Navy for two years and the United States Air Force for eighteen years. He witnessed the signing of the Peace Treaty between the United States and Japan. He was a Justice of the Peace Judge for four years. He was also Head of the Kosciusko School District Maintenance and Transportation. He was a member and deacon of Williamsville Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife of 68 years, Helen Sue Skeen of Kosciusko; sons, Ricky (Debbie) Skeen of Kosciusko and David (Charlotte) Skeen of Lakeville, Indiana; seven grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and sisters, Mavis Rhodes, Barbara Dickerson, Brenda Robinson, Linda Moore, and Sandra Purvis.
He was preceded in death his son, Gary Skeen; parents, Earl Elongino and Molly Mae Steadman Skeen; brothers, Jack Skeen, Bill Skeen and Roy Skeen; and sister, Frances Hutchison.
Pallbearers were Randy Rhodes, West Frazure, Eric Kerr, Chris Skeen, C.J. Skeen, Mark Davis and Stacey Robinson.
