Elizabeth “Anne” Blanton, born April 29, 1935, passed away Nov. 14, 2016.
Funeral services were held Nov. 17, at 11 a.m. at Salem Independent Methodist Church near Chester.
Visitation was held Nov. 16, 5-8 p.m. at Coleman Funeral Home in Ackerman and at Salem Church Thursday from 10 a.m. until service time.
Mrs. Blanton was preceded in death by her parents, T.J. and Katie Cox of Winona; a brother, David Lee Cox; half sister, Lexie-Marie Cox.
She is survived by her husband, Roy H. Blanton of Ackerman; sons, Alton (Cheryl) Blanton and Cecil Blanton both of Ackerman; daughters, Linda (Tommy) Cauthen of Hobbs, N.M., Betty-Marie (Byron) Reid of Westmoreland, Tenn., Nancy (Allen) Brown of Watertown, Tenn.; grandsons, Chris (Courtney) Cauthen of Clarksdale, Matt (Kellie) Cauthen of Ackerman, Nathan Reid of Westmoreland, Tenn., James-Isaac Reid of Westmoreland, Ken Brown of Old Hickory, Tenn., and Jay Brown of Watertown; granddaughter, Karen-Anne (David) Keeney of Denver, Col.; great-grandsons, Drew Keeney, Clark Cauthen and Grant Cauthen; great-granddaughtersLillie Cauthen, Avie-Grace Cauthen and Ella-Elizabeth Keeney.
Anne had many talents and left a legacy of music that will be remembered across the Southeast USA
