Douglas Earl Mayo, 69, passed away on Thursday, August 30, 2018, at St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson.
Visitation will be 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday, September 2 at Ethel Baptist Church. Funeral services will be 9:30 a.m. Monday, September 3, at Ethel Baptist Church with burial to follow in the Marvin Chapel Cemetery. Rev. Dewitt Bain and Rev. Ralph Hunt will officiate.
He was a member of Ethel Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon. He owned Country Mower Services for nearly 20 years. He also was a sales consultant at Pearl River Outdoors in Kosciusko.
Survivors include his wife, Peggy Shuler Mayo of Ethel; daughter, Terri B (Jason C.) Hall of Katy, TX; and three brothers, James Clifford “Cliff” (Drunette) Mayo of Kosciusko, Rickey (Dale) Mayo of Ethel, and Hoy (Robin) Mayo of Ethel.
He was preceded in death his daughter, Sheila R. Mayo; and his parents, Coy D. and Ruth Inez Rachel Mayo.
