Donna (Alston) Zagst, 71, of Natrona Heights, passed away at home on Monday, July 23, 2018, after being ill the past five years.
She was born April 11, 1947, in Kosciusko, to the late John S. and Ruby J. Alston. Donna has lived the past 10 years in Natrona Heights and, prior to those 10, years in Leechburg. She was a homemaker and raised her two sons in Kosciusko. Donna was a veteran of the U.S. Army, Women’s Army Corp. She was 1965 graduate of Kosciusko High School, and was an avid reader.
Survivors include her husband of 53 years, Joseph B. Zagst; children, Chris (Gaylynn) Zagst, Lexington, Ky. and Brandon (Beth) Zagst, Boone, N.C.; grandchildren Laney, Tanner, Aubrey Zagst and Zoey and Seger Zagst. Also surviving is a sister ,Vicki (Barry) Ray, Kosciusko.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death a brother John H. Alston.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, and from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday in the Duster Funeral Home, Inc., 347 E 10th Ave, Tarentum. Burial in Mt. Airy Cemetery, Natrona Heights.
