Cynthia Yvonne Brunt Peters, 64, of Talladega, passed away on Saturday, September 8, 2018, at her home surrounded by family.
Visitation will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, September 11, 2018, at Usrey Funeral Home, with the funeral service to follow at 11 a.m.
Cindy was born in Pensacola, Florida to Wilbur and Sarah Brunt on April 24, 1954. She graduated from University of Alabama at 
Birmingham. She worked as a Special Education teacher and then Reading Specialist for Cordova Elementary. She had a passion and love for educating young children.
Cindy is preceded in death by her grandparents Eric and Vera Brunt, Bob and Ana Black, and her brother-in-law Jerry Peters.
Cindy is survived by her husband Rickey Peters; daughter Elizabeth Peters (Dan); sons, Matt (Rebecca) and Jason (Jenifer) Peters; sister, Felicia (Tommy) Tadlock; parents, Wilbur and Sarah Brunt;, six grandchildren, Lola, Beau, Jackson, Carter, Caroline, and Lillian; her niece, Anna (Stephen) Buyes; and great-nephew, Silas; mother-in-law, Ann Peters; brother-in-law, Joey (Adele) Peters; sister-in-law, Cathy Peters; and niece,s Christy (Rob) Stewart and Julie (Jonathan) Fancher; great-nieces and great-nephews, Chase, Ashlyn, Colt, Connor, and Cate.
Memorials may be given to Ribbons of Hope in lieu of flowers.
