Claire Howard Summers, 85, passed away Thursday, Feb. 1, 2018 at her home in Kosciusko.
Visitation was Saturday, Feb. 3 at Jordan Funeral Home in Kosciusko. Funeral services are at 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 4 at New Hope Baptist Church, with burial in the church cemetery. Rev. Wayne Hudson, Rev. Ricky Summers, and Rev. Terrell Mayo will officiate.
She was a member of New Hope Baptist Church.
Survivors include her sons, Robert Summers and Kenneth Summers, both of Kosciusko; eight grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; and her brother, Hugh Howard of Carthage; first cousin, Quinna Cooper of Piggot, AR; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Virgil Summers; parents, Vernon and Mildred Cameron Howard; daughter, Clairice Summers; and brothers, Lee Howard and Sammy Howard; and sister, Grace Box.
Pallbearers Ronnie Summers, Gerald Downs, Allen Hearon, Mike Howard, Larry Howard, and Lonny Summers.
