Carrie R. Groves, 58, formerly of Oxford, passed away Sunday evening, March 12, 2017, at Baptist Medical Center in Jackson.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m., Thursday, March 16, in the Martin Willingham Memorial Chapel of Wells Funeral Home in Batesville with interment to follow in North Oxford Baptist Church Cemetery in Oxford. The family will receive friends at the funeral home two hours prior to the service.
Carrie was born April 3, 1958, in Sioux City, Iowa, to the late Boyd Elvin and Robbie M. Perkins Groves. She was a registered nurse for 34 years and a member of North Oxford Baptist Church. When Carrie wasn’t working, she loved traveling and taking care of her beloved animals, but it was her job that she enjoyed the most.
Carrie leaves behind her only brother, Danny Groves of Duck Hill to cherish her loving spirit.
