Brenda Lawrence Otts, 54, of Madison, passed away on Wednesday, July 19, 2017, in Atlanta, Georgia, while on a business trip.
A native of Kosciusko, Brenda moved to the Jackson metro area following graduation from Delta State University.

Her latest career allowed her to use her creative side in the form of calligraphy, addressing invitations for brides throughout the southern states. Brenda had recently become a sales representative for Daniel Richards Fine Gifts and Stationery. Brenda’s greatest joy was spending time with her girls, being a loving mother and grandmother.
Brenda was preceded in death by her father, Homer Ray Lawrence.
She is survived by her two daughters, Rae Ann Lawrence (Kellon) and Leah Lawrence Otts and their father, Bobby Russell Otts, Jr. She is also survived by her mother, Qujette Dacus Lawrence; her brother, Benny Ray Lawrence (Kathy) and sister, Julie Lawrence Capella (Matt); her granddaughter, Vera Lucille; and a precious grandchild due this fall. She also leaves behind three nephews, a brother and sister-in-law, a father-in-law, and several aunts and uncles.
Brenda’s gentle spirit and sweet smile will be remembered by all those who encountered her. “People will forget what you said, they will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel.” -Maya Angelou
